veneroso
I am considering buying the Intel BOXDQ965GFEKR micro atx motherboard coupled with the TWIN2X1024A-6400 modules. The board supports DDR 2 800 and would seem to be compatable. However there is a note on newegg.com's site that concerns me. "Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets." The timings for this memory seem fine, but the voltage concerns me. Is this a misprint on newegg.com, or is there no memory compatable for this system, as most modules are 1.9v and not 1.8v? Thank You.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2006 The minimum suggested voltage is 1.9 Volts with these modules and as far as I know that MB will not allow you to set the memory Voltage, but to be sure I would talk to the MB maker. Other wise I would suggest VS2GBKit667D2 with any Boxed Intel I965 chipset MB.
