Trnc
Does these two work together? the C2 has a little bit higher timings, but i can't get my hands on some XL ddr's so this is my only choice.. The ram is PC3200's. Can the Pro C2's operate at XL's tight timings with a little more voltage and will they work like they are supposed to? Ram version:XL - v1.1/v1.2C2 - v4.
CMC_SAVAGE
CMX512ProXL and CMX512Pros? ...??? You can't mix a C2 and a XL stick. Get a TWINX pair for 1GB.
Trnc
hmm, what if i loosen up the timings a little bit on the xl's? i have an offer for about 20$ each..( c2's )i want 2gig ram real bad..and this is pretty cheap..2x512mb. Why doesn't the ram work together, what is the problem?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2006 The modules SPD's are set differently and with many MB's now if the modules are not exactly matched the system might not even post! The Make and model of MB and or chipset will be the determining factor on whether or not you can mix memory but I would not suggest it with any MB. Trnc
i have run a set of 2x 512mb XL's and a set of 2x512mb C2's on my Asus A8n32sli Deluxe for about three weeks now and it works like a charm. what should i run for timings on these mixed ram config? i currently run 2-3-6-3-2t @ stock speed. I want to boost the fsb a bit to get a little faster system, but cant seem to find the best settings on the ram because of the different ram sticks..So what settings do the C2's have on lets say 250mhz? i guess if i get those to run stable the XL's will run at that setting without any big problem. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 5, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 5, 2006 I am sorry I can only give or tell you the tested settings for a given part# if your system is working then I would lave it alone, with this Platform when you mix memory like this it will usually not post or run properly!
