geekborg
I wanted to get the best Corsair memory I can for my Intel DG965RY and it seems that DDR2-667 (PC2-5300), VS2GBKIT667D2 is about the best I can get. I was hoping to run DDR2-800 RAM though. -Is the VS2GBKIT667D2 the best Corsair RAM for my motherboard?-If I could run DDR2-800 RAM, what would be the performance difference between DDR2-667 and DDR2-800 RAM? Thanks!
Yellowbeard
On that particular MOBO, unless you can OC the CPU somewhat, you will see very little difference between 667 and 800. In the past Intel MOBOs have not really allowed OCing so most likely, you will be fine with 667.

I'm not looking at overclocking so I can save a few $$ and go for DDR667!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2006 I agree with SpecMike  And VS2GBKit667D2 would be what I would suggest for this MB.
