Jung Lee
I bought 2 memory modules (VS1GB400C3) from Newegg.com Dec. 2005. I have seen the blue screen of physical memory error. I checked a memory test seperately by MEMTEST program. And then I found one bad module. So, I need a RMA #. My MB is ASUS P4S800D-X. Thank you. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 6, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 6, 2006 Can you tell me CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
Jung Lee
Hi, RAM Guy.... My CPU is Intel P4 3.0GHz and it's FSB is 800MHz. As far as the BIOS settings, I have all the defaults set, AUTO, for the CPU and Memory.. I've also talked with the computer engineers at his office and he used his memory tester and showed errors too. Thank you,
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 7, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 7, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
Jung Lee
Hi, I have the latest bios and all default setting. I tested my memoris by running memtest. I've tried each stick on their own and one passes all the tests, but the other starts giving me errors. How can I get RMA? Thank you..
