BlackHeart
I read that some power supplies can be damaged by turning the power on without any load connected to them. I would like to know if the HX 620W power supply would be damaged if power is turned on without a load applied to it.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2006 No, but it may not power on with our at least .5 Amps load!
BlackHeart
No, but it may not power on with our at least .5 Amps load! Thank you for the reply. Can that .5 amps be on any rail? What happens if the power supply does not see "Power Good" signal? I see reviews of some of the power supplies where the users say some brands of power supplys arrived DOA (dead on arrival). It makes me wonder if those users powered up those certain other brands of power supplies without a load and burned em up. Larry
