Viken Posted November 1, 2006 Share Posted November 1, 2006 Hi, I have a 1gb Corsair xmms2 6400 ddr2 ram installed (2x512) bios shows ram as 4300 put sticks in yellow sockets on asus P5B mobo is that correct How do I get mobo to see my ram? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 1, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 1, 2006 The reason is because of your CPU speed and you would need to run the memory at 533 Mhz with the CPU that you have, but you can over clock your CPU and the memory frequency will automaticly increase as well. Viken Posted November 5, 2006 Author Share Posted November 5, 2006 Ok I tried that .... went to default on cpu then set 537 for ram system boots but still shows 4300 ddr2 Ok ... went back in bios clocked set 537 again [got bad overclock] [3.2g] Maybe I have have sticks in wrong sockets....
