i am going to get the 8gb voyager and was wanting to set security in case you would inadvertetly leave your stick in(which has happened)or just plain lose it yuk ,i cannot get admin privleges to the network computers at dod so i spent the better part of this day surfing and come up with A HIGHLY rated 5 stars by 10 vendors, no downloading anything on host computer and best of all its free at least up to 25 megs storage at 128 bit encryption check it

out http://www.cypherix.com cryptainer is what it is called enjoy

yes im aware that voyager has an encryption program but threw the studying up on this topic i have also learned that in order for the encryption to work on the corsair voyager 8gb that version must be downloaded on the host computer and that is strictly forbidden because i would not have administer privileges on that computer and that is a sad lilttle quirk voyager has in an otherwise brilliant and highly rated memory stick

Ah, you explained that in your first post. If you can do that encryption without needing admin access, that is a very good find. Thanks for the link, you may be the bane of admins everywhere soon.

FYI, it's possible on a WinServer2003 environment to disable only USB storage devices :) Admins will r0x0r your b0x0rs :)
