zerv2006
Recently built up a new machine however when i hit the power button the fans come on and motherboard light is on but no picture. Following spec Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz e6600 Corsair xms2x2048 800mhz 5-5-5-12 Asus p5n32-sli se deluxe hiper type r 580w -using p8 adaptor for eps12 My pc does not have a speker so i cant here if it posts or not, however i have connected a partioned hard drive with xp on now when the e6600 is installed the hard drive doesnt make a sound so it maybe that the computer is not posting. i went out and bought a pentium 4 530 3.0ghz cpu and when i put that in, the hard drive you could hear it booting however there is still no picture comming on my monitor, the only thing i can narrow it down to is GPU or Memory. Just wandering if this memory has had compatibility issues with the following hardware. thanks in advance
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 25, 2006 I would try and install just one module and then clear the bios with the E6600 CPU and then see if the system will post and if so then update to the latest bios version and set the memory frequency at 667 Mhz and the memory voltage to 2.1 Volts! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2006 That might suggest some other problem, can a friend help you test the memory and CPU in another system?
