Formattedc
- MSI K8N Neo Platinum Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb ATX AMD Motherboard (No Dual Channel, 3 DIMMS, Supports 3GB) - CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) TWINX1024-3200XL 2-2-2-5 I put this system together a couple of years ago. I do not know much about mixing RAM or latency times. I was wondering if it was possible to add another 1GB to this board with these 2 already installed (obviously using a 1GB DDR 400 PC3200), thanks. EDIT: I was doing some searching on these forums and found there is no such thing as a "CMX1024-3200XL", just "CMX512-3200XL" (which are the pair I already have) so I guess my question is, am I stuck just upgrading only another 512MB or am I able to mix timings by getting a 1MB stick? i.e using 1 stick of CMX1024-3200C2 (2-3-3-6)? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 21, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 21, 2006 I am sorry but no! You would be best to find another use for the modules you have now and just get a new set of Twinx2048-3200C2 set of modules!
