msny
The link is here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131043 My concern is the note at the bottom on the specs tab "Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets." Is this related? http://www.houseofhelp.com/v2/showthread.php?t=53815&highlight=P5B-VM So which Corsair ram meets this criteria?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 20, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 20, 2006 I would suggest VS2BGKit667D2 with this MB!
msny
I would suggest VS2BGKit667D2 with this MB! I think you meant VS2GBKIT667D2 not VS2BGKit667D2. Correct? Thanks much.

msny
Follow up question please The memory suggested is DDR2-667. Does DDR2-800 memory have any advantage at all? (suggested spec by ASUS) I am not an overclocker, thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 31, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 31, 2006 If the MB you have or will have does not support setting the memory voltage then I would not suggest DDR2-800 memory from our XMS line as they all require a mimimum of 1.9 Volts. fdch
Hello, this is a post from France. I have a Asus P5B-Vm with core 2 duo, and the Xms2 5400C4 memory is recognized as PC2 4300 on the boot screen, and tested at 333mhz . I have manually set the bios on 667mhz and 1.95v but it doesn't change. Is this memory compatible with this motherboard? Thank you
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
