bholzer
So I bought a matched pair of TWINX1024-3200C2PT sticks (2GB Total) a number of months back, and I'm just now getting around to building the PC. Got everything up and running, except that XP is only recognizing 1GB of RAM, not 2GB. I turn off the computer, open up the box and remove one of the sticks (leaving the other in), power up again, and no dice; it hangs during the memory detection stage of booting (POST Code C1). So I power down, switch the sticks, power up again, and it works no problem. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 16, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 16, 2006 But from your post you had 2 sets or 4 modules? How many of these modules do you have installed? And what is the part# on the modules?
bholzer
It's a 2GB kit. 2 x 1GB modules. Both modules have the same numbers on them: XMS3202v2.2 0603051-2 CL2
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 16, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 16, 2006 Ah OK So you have Twinx2048-3200C2PT? Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
