edking4
I have 2 sticks of the 1024 modules. The other day my computer suddenly crashed and corrputed my windows install. I tryed to reinstall windows with my disc but it constantly froze at the same spot during the install. I decided to try and spot the problem and the second thing I did was remove my other stick of ram...boom suddely windows doesnt "hang" anymore and installs. I decided to put only the "bad" stick in after everything was installed and windows was running fine and run my computer with memtest. Memtest then found tons of errors with the stick and my computer the preceded to crash the 5 times i did this. I was looking to rma or any help? ty

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
