getbinladen
Does anyone know why two 1 Gig sticks only show up as 1408mb instead of 2048mb in BIOS and 1.37 in windows; During POST it does increment up to 2048 but the rest seems weird. Is it reflecting the memory that the sli cards are sucking up (reserving) or what? (they are 256mb cards) Thanks P5n32-SLI SE Deluxe Mobo TWIN2X2048-6400 DDR2-800 (XM2S-6400) 2GB Kit (2 x 1GB) Corsair 620w PSU Twin XFX 6800XTs in SLI 80 Gig SATA II Hdd for OS and Critical stuff RAID 0 twin 160 Gig SATA II HDDs for gaming and Swap files Two more 160s for backups and the rest of storage. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 10, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the memory frequency at DDR2-667 and set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
