fcasola
Hello - I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 2.0 GHZ - I found on the net an upgrade to 512x2 GB = 1 MB RAM - there are two numbers on the chip. The first is VS512SDS266 and the second is 0615163-0-994216. I checked the compatibility configurator on the Corsair web site and there I found the model CMSS512MB-266SOD as the right one for my laptop. I believe the 2 type of modules are the same - however I need your help and confirmation. Thanks !!
MikeBR
Both the VS512SDS266 and CMSS512MB-266SOD modules are PC2100/DDR266 and should work. The CMSS512MB-266SOD would be the best choice to ensure compatibility with your notebook. The other numbers you posted, 0615163-0-994216, are the serial and lot numbers of the module. :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 10, 2006 As long as you dont have memory on the MB and you remove the modules that came with your system those modules should run with that system with out problems, but I would suggest you update the system bios before you change them.
