sisith
Hi, I just RMA'ed my old sticks and recieved two new fresh ones. The problem is, the new ones will not work in dual channel mode whereas the old ones did. My comp secs are: Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 Athlon XP 3200+ ram mentioned above Everything was working fine until one of my old modules went bad and I had to RMA them. Now whenever I plug the modules into DIMM slots 1 and 2 (dual channel), I get the bios beep that says there are problems with my ram and it doesnt post. If I put either stick in seperately into any of the slots it works fine. If I put the ram into slots 1 and 3 (not dual channel), it boots up but only shows 512 ram. I have raised the voltage .2 like recommended and still no change. Also both the revisions and part numbers are exactly the same. What could be wrong here? sisith
Ok, ran memtest on each one seperately in a different computer and both passed with flying colors. Not a single error. What do I do now?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 10, 2006 That might suggest some other problem if the moduels will run and pass http://www.memtest.org in another system. I would try and test your CPU in another system if you can to be sure!
