Bad 512MB PC133 module

I was using them on the same MB, yes. There's also another 512MB module from another brand which is still working fine and another 256MB module which is also working fine on it.

I tested the module on another system and it also gave me some errors in memtest86. Moving the module around the SIMM slots didn't change anything and it's not overclocked and never was.

I didn't make myself clear. It's a system with 3 SIMM slots and 3 modules of memory. Two of them work perfectly fine in whichever combination or by themselves. The 512MB from Corsair used to work fine with them too.

Now it fails all the time, even if I put it alone on a SIMM slot and changing the slot still makes it fail. It also fails on another system when onle on the slots.

I tested the module with memtest86 on both systems with the module alone on the slot and changing the slots. It was working before but fails now and I had to have this module changed two times before for the same reason (was working just fine and passing memtest86 then after a year or so the system becomes unstable and it turns out the module fails memtest86).

Yes I understand and that would suggest to me there is some other problem, and why I have asked you to test the module by it self, BUT RE-SET the Bios so its detected properly and test it again.

If you just want to get it replaced please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! And please note that you are from the forum!

But I would suspect there is some other problem from what you have posted memory will not consistantly fail that way.
