jason372923 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I had a AsusA8N-SLI Premium that never worked properly with my 1 gig of 3200xlpro and my 7800gt graphics. I'd get "patching failed" issues all the time and in the middle of games the ram l.e.d.'s would go to one green and just sit there for 10 seconds then click back onto working. I recently switched motherboards to the Abit KN8 and things seemed to work ok for a day or two but now i get the same issue with the ram l.e.d's going to one green light and just sitting there, locked up. However now it doesn't click back on after 10 seconds and the only way to get them working again is to reboot. This seems to only happen while playing games. Any ideas? I've set the ram voltage to 2.8.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 4, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted October 4, 2006 Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Please note that you may need to disable legacy USB when running http://www.memtest.org.
