green_mettle Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I recently bought ram for my Clevo Portanote D500P based upon the recommendation of corsair's configurator tool (2X 512mb system select CMSS512MB-333SOD). The ram did not work in my pc. I tried installing and testing themodules individually and swapped them around. My copmuter failed to post and emitted load beeping noises. I have experienced this problem with other brands of ram, but decided to try corsair because your site guaranties that the system select ram will work. Is there any way to get the ram working or will I have to return it to the company I bought it from?

green_mettle Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 Have upgraded the bios to the latest available (R1.00.10) from http://www.eurocom.com/support/drivers/d500pbiosdate.txt and have tried the ram again. No joy I'm afraid same beeping noise.
