SERVO
My K7n2 Delta died so I built a Kt3 ultra2 that I had hanging around. I have 2 sticks of VS512MB400 that I can't get to work together. It is overclocked w/FSB @166 and I can get 1 stick to work sorta. Here's the Bios choices for the ram settings: SDram Frequency (spd, hclk, hclk+33, hclk+66). SDram CAS 2 or 3. Row precharge Time, 2T or 3T. RAS Pulse Width, 6T or 5T. RAS To CAS Delay, 3T or 2T SDram Bank Interleave, Disabled (if 16MB is installed), 2-Way or 4-Way. SDram Burst Lenght, 4QW or 8QW SDram 1T Command, "Enable" for 1T, "Disable" for 2T. Fast Command, "Ultra" allows CPU to handle data/instructions at the fastest speed. "Fast" allows CPU to handle data/instructions at the faster speed. "Normal" allows CPU to handle data/instructions at the slowest rate. (Ram set at 2.7v) thanks Rick
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 28, 2006 What is the CPU Frequency you have and its FSB?
SERVO
Not sure what it is but, in Bio's under Frequency/Voltage CPU set @ 12.5 and FSB
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 28, 2006 These would be the suggested setting for these modules, I am sorry I dont have a cross for that MB so I would suggest asking the MB maker if they can help you set these settings. Memory Frequency: 100% Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts Resulting Frequency: 166MHz Memory Timings: Manual/User Define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 7T

SERVO
It won't run above 180fsb and my MB doesn't like 3 sticks so I gave up. Thanks, Rick
philou
First sorry for my poor english I have the same problem with two VS512MB400 modules on the same motherboard with one module it works perfectly with agressive timings with two module, set on spbd, no overclocking(FSB 133), the computer doesn't boot on the morning. It hangs during post, or post screen doesnt appear. I have each time to do a hard reset, and then it's ok. If i stop the computer for one or two hours, i dont have this problem. Each module have been tested extensively with memtest86+ without errors. It seems like if the memory doesn't have enough current to work. Now i've set memory frequency on 133 MHz instead 166, and i will see tomorrrow morning what's going on. Any ideas ? Thanks
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 25, 2007 With two modules they should be in slots 1-3 or 2-3 and set the memory frequency at 1-1 or 133 Mhz in sync with your CPU and set the memory Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings manually to Cas 2.5-3-3-7!
