kiyohiko Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi, I recently started developing an issue with my VS1GSD333 Sodimm that I bought from Fry's Electronics a few months back in my Toshiba R10 tablet PC. It's the only memory module in the system. At first it started blue screening, then at some point it couldn't even boot up into windows. I ran the memtest from the .iso boot cd and it came up with a bunch of errors. Just to make sure it wasn't the notebook, I swapped the memory with a Dell Inspiron 700m at work (uses the same type of memory), ran memtest on the Dell, and came up with errors all over the place. Likewise the memory that was originally in that Dell seems to work fine in the tablet pc, indicating at least to me that I have a faulty memory module. I have no idea what bios settings are on the Toshiba laptop as I can't seem to find the correct key combinations to access it (if it even has one).. but they're all the stock settings that came with the notebook. Any chance I can get an RMA for this thing? Thanks.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 27, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted September 27, 2006 I would try and go to the Bios setup and Load setup defaults and then test the module with http://www.memtest.org to be sure, but if it still fails then let's get it or them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it.
