eddyx Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I was wandering if there is a way to water cooling the vpu using the nautilus unit, it would be great on my ati x800! Is Corsair planing something? Thank you.
JonKrmr Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Any GPU water block/cooler that will fit your x800 that has 3/8" hose barbs will work with the Nautilus. Just put it in series with the cpu water block ( out from Nautilus in to cpu, out of cpu to in of gpu block, out of gpu block to in of Nautilus) and your good to go. The Nautilus will handle up to about 500 watts of heat so there should be no issue cooling a hot cpu and video card.
SkywayTA Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I have a question also about vga cooling. Would this vga cooler be compatible with nautilus 500 ? It says Compatible Tubes(Outer x Inner) 13 x 10mm, 13 x 9mm, 12 x 8mm, 11 x 8mm, 10 x 8mm. Thanks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118121
KaptCrunch Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 1/2 O.D. x 3/8 tubing I.D. = 13mm O.D. x 10mm I.D.
SkywayTA Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Thanks for the quick response, it appears that it is compatible. I am new to water cooling and just bought myself a Nautilus 500 from Newegg because I heard it is a n00b friendly kit. I just want to make sure I have all the proper components when it arrives. I just have 1 more question. It appears that I will need 2 more pieces of 3/8" tubing and 2 tubing clamps or whatever they are called, if I want to cool my vga card. I looked on Newegg and couldnt find either the tube or the clamps. Where would I purchase these 2 items ? Thanks again
SkywayTA Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I just read the sticky above, disregard last question. Thanks.
KaptCrunch Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 you didn't say where are living ? what planet.......j/k. You need 1/2 OD 3/8 ID tubing and gear clamps, spring clamps best use the rachect type
SkywayTA Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 sorry, that joke flew right over my head, nice effort though.
