jaredy Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Hello, I recently got a new motherboard: Epox 9NPA3 Ultra based on the Nforce 4 Ultra chipset. I have been having problems with what seems to be corruption to windows upon rebooting. I tested the memory which could very well be the factor. Running memtest the 2x512 DDR400 (VS1gigkit400) gave errors in dual channel. When tested in single channel and individually they tested FINE. I have reasons to believe that this is related to the settings. A user posted a review on newegg regarding having to adjust settings on the board as the 'auto' was a bit too aggressive. Aside from 2.5-3-3-8 1t I don't know the specifics of all the other options... My motherboard has options for Tcl, Trcd, Tras, Trp, Trc, Trfc, Trrd, Twr, Twtr, Trwt, Tref, DQS Skew Control, Max Async Latency, Read preamble Time, IdleCycle Limit, Dynamic IdleCycle Counter, R/W Queue Bypass Count, Bypass Max...among a couple more with a bios update. Basically id like to know if i can see the correct settings for the other major memory timings. I don't really know what to do outside of having the normal 2.5-3-3-8-1t set correctly. I could always slow everything down but of course i dont want to kill my performance too much when i dont have to. Thanks!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted September 22, 2006 The command Rate should be set to 2T and I would set the memory Voltage to 2.8 Volts! And just let the MB set the timings!
