I am going to pair and AMD AM2 Sempron 2800 with an CORSAIR XMS2 2 x 512MB DDR2 800 on an Asus M2N-E M/B. When I was looking for RAM on K******N site and it said that DRR 800 wasnt compatible with AMD Sempron Processors on the M2N-E. I plan on upgrading the processor in the furture that why I'm getting this cheap on for now. Any one know anything about this?

Unfortunately, that is due to the limitation of the CPU's memory controller. For Socket AM2, all single-core CPUs (Athlon 64 or Sempron) will only support up to DDR2-667 memory. You will need to buy a dual-core CPU (Athlon 64 FX or X2) in order to even use DDR2-800 memory.

In addition, some DDR2-800 memory modules may not work reliably at slower speeds due to the nature of their IC chips.
