Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 14, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted September 14, 2006 Your RMA request has been approved by TSD but I would suggest you get the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and see if that will solve the problem.
robmac Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 thanks for the reply. i have already got the latest bios. the faulty stick will not run on its own, i have another stick and it will only post with the two together.memtest shows errors in stick 2. have tried all four dimm slots but nothing resolves the problem.:(: i have received a notification from corsair now suggesting my rma will be approved. thanks for the swift reply. rob.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 14, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted September 14, 2006 NP you should get the RMA email with in the next day or so! If you dont have it but tomorrow afternoon I would call them at 888-222-4346 and they will take care of you!
robmac Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 ok, i am still waiting for an rma number from corsair.!!! i have to say that from my experience this is the worst warranty i have ever come across. despite sending in 5 rma requests and getting help from the ram guy, i have lost all faith in getting my faulty new stick of vs1gb667d2 memory replaced. what makes it worse is iam in the uk and ringing corsair on the west coast of the usa is almost out of the question. why should i have to anyway, whats the point of filling out request forms when it seems no one at corsair cares about their customers problems.???
