ledanek Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I've posted this in another forum without any further help. Hoping this is the place for answers. I have an Asus A7N8X Dex AMD 2.4Ghz (accdg to My Computer Properties <_< ) CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel TWINX1024-3200C2PT Currently the two modules are occupying the first two slots of the mobo. http://www.linuxhardware.org/images/articles/nf2kt400-071003/ASUS-A7N8X-Board.jpg two modules to the blue slots (something about Dual Memory Channel???) Would the Mobo then run an efficient 2GB if I find the same timing memory? Its my overall scheme of slowly upgrading my aging A7N8X. Eventually adding an AGP 7600GT 256MB.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 14, 2006 Corsair Employee Posted September 14, 2006 If you need more memory it would be best to replace what you have now with one Twinx2048-3200C2 set of modules for best performance
