JohnnyV045
I purchased a ValueSelect Kit, part number VS1GB667D2, and put both sticks in my computer. I reformatted, and Windows had a great deal of problems installing. After getting Windows to install, it became corrupted quickly. As I have had this problem before with RAM, I removed one of the sticks, and ran memtest. The first stick passed flawlessly. I removed the first RAM and replaced it with the second one, in the same slot. BIOS boot failed. I made sure that the RAM was correctly inserted, and tried to run memtest again. I encountered the same problem: the computer would not boot. I removed the second, defective stick, and reinserted the first one. Computer booted flawlessly, and Windows also installed without fail. I am requesting an RMA to replace this defective stick.
