Faulty CMX1024-3200C2PT, Need RMA

I left my computer on overnight and woke up on 9/4/06 realizing my computer had no video and the tower speaker was beeping constantly.

I unplugged my video card, ide and sata cables and still my computer wouldnt boot and kept beeping. I pulled out one of my ram chips and it booted up fine. I switched ram slots and 1 of them is not working. I had the ram since april and it has been working fine untill yesterday.

I tried to move around one of the CMX1024-3200C2PT and it would not work any slot it was in. I cant even load windows while it is in to do any tests on it. The other dimm works fine.

If i RMA it do i need a reciept? I got it for a birthday gift and could ask the person to print out a reciept for me.

Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS3200C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
