Lee Lord
Hello. This is my first post on this forum. I have an amilo A1630 laptop that currently has 2x256Mb SoDimm memory modules installed. It has two memory slots. The conventional upgrade path would be 2x512Mb DDR333 modules to give 1Gb of Ram. My question is will this laptop go to 2x1024MB Corsair ValueSelect DDR400 modules (VS1GSDS400) to give a total of 2GB of ram. Everything I have read says that 1024Mb is the limit but why would it not accept the upgrade path I have outlined. any help would be much and gratefully appreciated. Wired
Why? Because that's how they built it. It's clearly specified in the manual (which wasn't easy to find online).
