2nd bad module

Recommended Posts

I have a VS1GB400C3 module I have had replaced about 5-6 months ago. I had suspected it was bad from I have 2 sticks of VS1GB400C3. One of which I have had replaced about 5-6 months ago. I had suspected the replacement was bad from the beginning but never tested it. Recently I switched the position of the sticks of Ram which results in the frequent crash of my PC. I ran a memory test on the modules one of which tested bad, the second tested good. I tried in a second computer and same results. Let me know if there is any thing else I can do to resolve the problem otherwise I would appreciate a RMA #.

thanks

Korey

Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
