I Have same kind of rig than you do and I had serious problems too until yesterday. There is new bios in Asus pages for m2n-e (0403). I did install it but it still did autodetect it wrong. I did put setting 5-5-5-12-1T-1.9v and it has been working perfectly since that :D:

EDIT forgot that speed was 800mhz offcourse :)

Ok found the the reason for me. Other sim was broken. Interesting about this is that memtest went just fine with old bios but now with new one it showed other 1g faulty. Tried it on 1g worked fine then other one and i couldnt even get windows up and running :[pouts:

Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
