Agent24
Just built a new computer... and there are some problems :sigh!: 3 BSOD so far, 2 x IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (random driver, CDFS.SYS) and one with no driver after trying to resume from standby. 1 x PFN_LIST_CORRUPT (noted for dodgy ram or ram settings) which brings me to the point of this. I have looked at the "memory configurator" site for corsair ram, but the M2N4-SLI is not on the list (however the other M2N boards support the ram I'm using 'VS1GBKIT667D2') Also using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ CPU (Socket AM2)... Another point of interest is that the computer sometimes freezes at the POST just before doing the memory test... could this be related?
Yellowbeard
I see King max RAM listed in your spex. Are you mixing the Corsair with the King max? Also, your PSU looks a little on the small side for your configuration. Mike.
Agent24
No, these are two separate computers... one has Kingmax and the other Corsair RAM
Yellowbeard
Sorry,:o: I should have noticed that since the fist system is listed with an MSI board also. Can you try testing the sticks, 1 at a time, with Memtest. Also, disable Legacy USB Support in the bios just while running Memtest. They should pass a minimum of 3-5 passes with no errors. Mike . Agent24
I have disabled the legacy USB and the Ram passed 5 times with no errors.. (forgot to try each stick individually, but both together would still come up with problems if one was faulty. Wouldn't it??)
Yellowbeard
If it passed with both DIMMs then they should certainly pass individually. If you passed Memtest then I would susptec some problem other than the memory. It could still be a power problem. Do you have access to another stronger PSU you could try? Mike .
