kjcory
I just got a Canon IXY digital 800 IS camera last week with a Corsair 133x 2GB memory card. The memory card worked fine for the first 150 photos or so and then I got a message saying "Memory Card Error - Card Locked". Is there a way to unlock the card to get the photos I've already taken? The retailer where I bought the card will replace the card, but I need to access the photos--they are of my newborn baby. The card unlocked and began working once already when my dad played with it a little, but then relocked, and I have not been able to unlock it. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to unlock the memory card and access the photos before I exchange this card. Thanks, Kristy
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 18, 2006 Can you try the card in a card reader in a computer?
kjcory
Nope, I cannot read the card in a card reader--do I need to slide the white button on the side to the top or bottom to lock/unlock?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 18, 2006 Should be in the unlock position. If its still not working lets get it replaced, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or *New* Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
