gezza
Hi, I have 1 x TWINX1024-3200C2PT and 1 x CMX1024-3200C2PT Both used to work fine for about a year until I started to get system crashes. I ran memtest with the CMX1024-3200C2PTB only. Memtest passed. I ran Memtest with the TWINX1024-3200C2PT only. Memtest failed. Can I retrun TWINX1024-3200C2PT? Thanks Gezza
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 16, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 16, 2006 First thing you cannot mix these modules they will not run in D/C. Please install the modules one at a time and load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS3200C2 Cass 2.5-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. gezza
If I find that the TwinX is faulty, do I return both TwinX modules or just the faulty one?
Wired
you would return both, as quantity 1 of twinx
