Recommended Posts

Hi Just got my new Intel Conroe E6600 - Asus P5W DH / Corsair 8500 cas5 memory trying to get a stable 1:1, with CPU and RAM @ 1066 but pc locks up entering into windows please can someone tell me what the problem is likely to be?:[pouts:

I guess it maybe some BIOS setting that i am missing?:!:

Also trying to overclock the processor to 350 FSB but can't get stable so high any ideas would be greatful?

I can get the pc stable @ 333x9 = 3ghz fine but still not @ 1:1.

Any reason you want 1:1? Problem is you will not get your FSB up high enough for a 1:1 with that board or any other Intel board for that matter. You would have to hit 533 FSB to hit your 1:1 mark. Your better off with 2:3 or other ratio with the combination that you have. Both of the P5W DH's that I had a chance to try to OC didnt even make it to your 333, more like 315 and 320. The same CPU and memory I have in my current P5B will do 385 FSB/1155 memory stable.
