lgarrido
Does the TWIN2X2048-6400C4PRO works with this motherboard? It's the SE edition... And does it work in 800? If not, witch one should I buy? Thanks, Luiz Garrido
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 16, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 16, 2006 You would need to use Twin2x2048-5400C4 unless you plan on over clocking, but yes these modules will run it that MB just not at 800 Mhz!
lgarrido
Hmmm, ok... I'm not an expert on this... Is it danger to make an overclock to work in 800Mhz? Or I just to take care with heat? And, working with DDR2 in 667Mhz, what is the performance difference from 800Mhz? I'll use this motherboard with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600... Thanks very much. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 16, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 16, 2006 Its hard to answer that because it will varry depending on the configuration. But I would say abput 3-6% difference 667 Mhz to 800 Mhz. And you can try and over clock the system this MB will over clock pretty well.
