sic4672
I am planning on buying an ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe MB and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ processor with a Thermalright XP-90 Cooler. After doing some reading, I found the AM2 platform only supports up to PC2-6400. The TWIN2X2048-8500C5 is PC2-8500. Would the processor even be able to use that memory or should I stick with the TWIN2X2048-6400C3 or even the TWIN2X2048-6400C4. Is there a better memory that you can recommend? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 15, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 15, 2006 Yes you would need to over clock in order to use our XM2S-8500 modules at their tested settings, I would suggest using XM2S-6400C3 as they will likely be able to run at XM2S-8500 settings.
