Baraka
I'm interested to find out what memory speeds other people are getting with this combination. The 8500C5 2GB kit is rated at 1066MHz but i'm barely able to reach it :confused:I am running a Core 2 Duo E6600 and the P5W has the latest bios 1101. I can JUST hit 1066 with the 1:2 divider but that's at 5-5-5-18 with max voltages (RAM@2.4v, MCH@1.65v). And I do mean JUST - @1067 i'm getting errors in Memtest.Using the 1:2 (FSBx2) divider gives 1066 @ stock FSB of 266 so that leaves no room at all for overclocking the CPU. Using the next divider (3:5 FSBx1.66) gives lots of overclocking headroom but I cannot reach 1066, max is 1050 :(:Thats with a FSB of 315 so running the CPU @ 2.8GHz. :D: The strange thing is i've read various reviews of this RAM kit where they're using the P5W in the test rig and getting 1100+ with better timings  But on the other hand i've read posts on other forums where people cannot even get into Windows with this kit/board @ 1066

Baraka
2.4V is WAY out of spec, they're not warrantied that high. Only by .2 of a volt  There's no way they're going to 1066 @ 2.2V :(: Even with the standard SPD timings (5-6-6-18) they need 2.3v to reach 1060
Baraka
Well it turns out even at the settings I stated in the first post it eventually gives Memtest errors if left for more than a few hours :(: I'm currently running the memory @ 1050MHz 5-5-5-15 @ 2.3V and no errors running Memtest for 7 hrs+ Looks like this is the best i'm gonna get with perfect stability :(: Would still like to hear results from other people with this board/ram combination. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 15, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 15, 2006 That may be about normal for that MB and CPU, but I would test the modules one at a time and see if the results are about the same to be sure.
