A8N-SLi Deluxe - Various Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I have an A8N-SLi with 2 Off TWINX512-3200C2PT modules with the RAM timings set by AUTO in the BIOS. All appears to be well but I do feel maybe I am not getting the best performance from the RAM, for example I have read that the memory could be run at 2-3-3-6 timings. Also I read that I could run the memory at 1T command rate.

The real reason I now bring my concerns to the forum is that I am soon to get another pair of TWINX512-3200C2PT making four in total. This leads me on to my new questions:

Should the BIOS be set to run at 333 instead of 400?

Should I and could I use the 2-3-3-6 timings safely with four modules?

What voltage would you recommend?

Could I safely use the 1T command rate?

Any advice that you experienced guys could pass on would be great.

TIA. Jon

The memory speed will depend on the core of the CPU, if you have an E-6 Core you should be able to run at DDR400 at Cas 2.5-3-3-7 with 4 modules at 2T command Rate and I would set the memory voltage to 2.8 Volts. In addition, all of the modules would need to be exactly matched in both part# and revision.
