LAher
Recently, my pc has been crashing and on sending an error report it advised me to run windows tool as the error was caused by a problem in the ram, the link is "http://oca.microsoft.com/en/response.aspx?SGD=aa2a3e76-fa38-4c37-9e7e-5f7792a3b568&SID=603" I ran the windows tool and there seem to be a couple of errors in the ram, where should i go from here, i have filled in the tech support express but thought id post here for additional info. Thanks in advance. /edit tech support advised me to run memtest, i will do tonight and post results here asap
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 2, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 2, 2006 Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then leave the timings set to "By SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
