SweetBlackMagic
I currenly have the Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPT 1GB Kit running in my system, but would like to add more. I was looking at the TWINX2048-3200C2PT 2GB Kit, but was wondering if the difference in timings will be an issue. The 1GB Kit has: 2-2-2-5 The 2GB Kit has: 2-3-3-6 Will these kits work together to give me 3GB? My MOBO is an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe. Wired
DO NOT RUN THEM TOGETHER. Multiple reasons: 1. Different timings 2. Different ICs 3. Different memory sizes
SweetBlackMagic
DO NOT RUN THEM TOGETHER. Any suggestions? Is there a 2GB Kit as fast as the 1GB out there? If not, what Kit would you suggest?
Wired
you mean 2-2-2-5? Nope. 2-3-2-6 is close though :) TwinX2048-3500LL
SweetBlackMagic
Will I notice a significant performance difference between the 3500LL (2-3-2-6) and the 3200C2 (2-3-3-6)? See my specs for MOBO and CPU info...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 1, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 1, 2006 No there it is not a lot about 1-3 % at default settings. But XMS3500LL will likely over clock better!
