2 GByte TwinX Matched Memory Pair

Bloot

Recommended Posts

I bought 2 gigs of ram for dual channeling, and i put both sticks in, and received a whole variety of errors and crashes. I took out one stick of ram and the computer worked perfectly fine, then i switched the 2nd ram in alone and the computer constantly crashes with a blue screen error. Also tried running both sticks with single channel. With just the 1 working stick, it would pass the prime 95 test with no problems, but it would fail no matter what with both sticks in. So i concluded that just 1 of the two sticks are bad. Help please :D

Mobo: ABit KN8 v1.1

Memory: 2 GIG XMS DDR 400 PC 3200

Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
