ComputerProTech
New 1GB RAM module installed into new build (by itself) failing Ultra-X QuickTechPro extended memory tests. http://www.uxd.com Replacing with different VS1GB400C3 module fixes issues. Has already been RMAed once through initial seller, NewEgg.com, but they sent it back "repaired" and it still fails Walk Left and Walk Right tests in QuickTechPro. Rather than deal with them again, I'd just assume go through you guys. Thank ya muchly. -Paul
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 26, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 26, 2006 Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then leave the timings set to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
