phn
Hello! I'll try and keep it short. I purchased a new machine and when installing Windows XP for the first time the system repeatedly blue-screened and had to be restarted. After searching the forums for help I changed the RAM voltage to 2.1v and allocated speeds automatically using SPDs. The system *seemed* stable for a good few hours, until it started to freeze up constantly. After changing the RAM timings manually I managed to get the system stable - it hasn't frozen since yesterday morning. However, every now and again when physically powering up the computer, there is no display output at all, my monitor just displays "NO SIGNAL" - could this be RAM related? One more thing worth mentioning is that my motherboard supports RAM with clockspeeds of 533/667/800mhz, and the RAM currently inside of it is clocked at 675mhz, would this be causing the problems? I had a look at the Corsair compatibility list and it does state that this particular memory module IS compatible with my motherboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 25, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 25, 2006 Your PSU may be a bit weak for that configuration, but I would suggest getting the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the tested settings manually and test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
