tx-p
Hello everyone, I just got me the X2 3800+ and Twinx2048-3200C2.... As usually, since I didnt find any suitable comments, I ask here for some guidance. But first I wonder why something like this happens: ALL SETTING IN BIOS ARE SET TO AUTO AND THE AI NOS is set to 100% and even Cool and quiet is activated! BIOS Version 1009 ---------------------- CPU-Z version 1.35 ---------------------- CPUID Output ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Number of CPUs 2 CPU #1 Name AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Code name Manchester Family/Model/Stepping FB1 Extended Family/Model F/2B Brand ID 5 Package Socket 939 Core Stepping BH-E4 Clock Speed 2338.3 MHz Clock multiplier x10.0 HTT Bus Frequency 233.8 MHz P-Rating 3800+ L2 Speed 2338.3 MHz (Full) Chipset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Northbridge nVidia nForce4 rev. Not that I am complaining ;) Also in the DRAM Timing I have just 333 MHz, when set on Auto. But after CPU-Z it runs on 200 (194,..) (OK multi and so on) This makes me wonder, if I set anything even higher, the system would run fine. But to be true I have no clue were..... Also the setting for the memory there are more then just 2-3-3-8... So? Someone any idea where to start or just leave everything and be happy? :sunglasse Thanx and Greetz

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 25, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 25, 2006 I would suggest that you manually set the memory and CPU Frequency and timings so this does not happen. AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual CPU Freq: 200 Mhz Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts Frequency (MHz) 200 CAS# 2.0 RAS# to CAS# delay 3 RAS# Precharge 3 TRAS
