Escension
Ok, I just built a new computer and I have been getting completely random lock ups with it from the start. I have tried each component seperately except for the Motherboard and Memory. I already have an RMA for the mB but I just want to be sure before I send it back. The ram I have in the computer is the Corsair value select, which runs at 2.5V. I looked in my bios setting and the lowest DIMM voltage my motherboard supports is 2.6V. Could this be the cause of the random freezes? I let memtest86 run all night with 0 errors. I have also tried both sticks of ram seperalty in the system, no help at all. CMC_SAVAGE
Could this be the cause of the random freezes? No, 2.6 Volts is fine. Post back after you get the new MOBO.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 25, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 25, 2006 I would try 2.7 Volts on the memory if you still have problems as well.
