Carnavour
I have the VS1GBKIT400 The RAM seems to not work. The motherboard will not post most of the time with this RAM and the OS will freeze after a while. When the system cannot boot it gives the one beep sound from the pc speaker then repeats the sound. I contacted chaintech about this and they said it was the RAM. I've tested them both by putting them into the system one at a time. But no joy. I have reset the CMOS tried to change the timings. But after I save the settings it will not post. I tried fail safe defults but still it will not post. I have tried diffrent RAM slots but the same problem persists. I need to RMA the RAM
Wired
can you run memtest86+ on them? it's highly doubtful that both suddenly went. it's more probable that it's the board or cpu.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 17, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 17, 2006 I would agree with Wired! And I would suggest testing the modules in another system to be sure!
