hard8
I have TWINX1024-3200C2 memory modules totalling 1GB. Spec's say it's rated for 2-3-3-6 timing. I have my mobo set to auto set the mem timings, and when I run memtest86+ or sisoft sandra, the mem timings are reported as 2-2-2-6. I have had random BSOD's "irql_not_less_or_equal" errors. I changed timings to 3-4-4-8, and ran memtest overnight. I had one error reported in 14 tests. My question, is, should I be setting the timings manually? Is it normal for a mobo to choose the wrong settings? I've searched the forums for these kinds of issues, but haven't found anything. Could it be specific to my mobo? Can you suggest a course of action?
Wired
Yes, you need to set them manually. That is how the 3200C2s are designed. CAS Latency (tCL): 2 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 Row Precharge (tRP): 3 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6 Memory Voltage: 2.7-2.8 Volts (Warrantied up to, but not over, 2.90 volts) All other settings to defaults.
