Wmatterer Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 my vs512mb533d2 module is bad. it failed memtest v3.2 (200+ errors) & Eurosoft PC-Check memory tests (all of them). I have 2 of these, and the second one works just fine (passed all tests). I then retested the module in a different memory slot (just in case its my mobo), and sure enough, the same errors occured. So i'm confident that its the module. The problem i experienced to lead me to test my memory was explorer.exe continually crashed at startup and a continual barrage of error messages wouldn't allow me to do anything except hit the power button. I tested it, found the problematic module, pulled it out, then reboot and now no problems. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
