Khaotic
I have a set of TwinX 2048-3200C2. One is bad. The system is built on a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI with an AMD Athlon 3700+ with a Gigabyte 6800 based video card. Windows XP Pro will not complete installation with both moduels installed on the board. Installation will not complete with the "bad" module installed. I was able to get windows to install with the good module"and can even get to the desktop. With a full installation complete, swap modules -- with only the bad module installed, Windows Will not reach the desktop - hangs at the flag splash. Swap modlules back, windows makes it to the desktop. Put BOTH modules in, system hangs just before reaching the desktop. Took a couple of hours to get to that point. Been though several settings changes on the motherboard BIOS. It all hinges on this ONE module. Would like to replace it. What is the next step?
