Hey RamGuy, Got a question 4 ya,

Smokey D.

Recommended Posts

i just ordered a bunch of stuff from new e**, it is all listed in my specs. my mobo is an asus p5n32 sli-dlx, i went to corsair's configurator and it told me that the mobo should be compatible with corsair part no. TWIN2X2048-6400C4. i am using a pentium d 940 as the processor. my question is should i have any issues with that config?

also, i did a little homework on the board. amidst all of the bad hubbub that the mobo is getting, i found out that alienware uses this very mobo in their sli rigs with intel chips. i figure if they use them they gotta be some smokin boards!

With a 800MHZ FSB CPU you will need to set the DDR Frequency at 667MHZ. The 6400s will give you some head-room for overclocking. You cannot set the DDR frequency at 800MHZ, only if you have a 1066MHZ FSB CPU.
